not here, but THERE:
Shannon's Quilted Home
Don't go there unless you can help me stay positive... I also don't need Coven visitors: Stay Away!
I've also come up with the name of my new MAIN blog:
Quilting in the Extreme: Diary of a Manic Quilter
We're all still sick. M has contracted whatever Common Cold crud we've all got. It was just a matter of time. C's been home sick for two days. I was home for two days last week and sick through the weekend. It's Tuesday and I'm still congested and coughing. I could deal with the cough, but not the wetting of my pants everytime I do.
Day 2 of working full-time: Ugh!! My mom is picking up the kids, but they are on their own for 1.5 hours with C in charge. So far no good as someone has called me within a half hour of being home with some type of issue.

Oh Shannon!!! Huge hugs for you!!! And I laughed out loud at the pee comment!!! Been there, done that!! not fun!!! Do you want my recipe for garlic soup?? I know, sounds gross, it's not AND when I make it, I feel better faster than when I don't. Also, with one cold I had, hubby told me that I didn't cough for a few hours after having some... and it was true. I didn't realize it, I was just sick, but it helps. Even my kids drink/eat it. (I eat it in a mug, so, I do drink it. Others use a bowl. eh, each to his own!!)
and tell your kids, NOT TO PHONE YOU!!!!!!!!!! Who ever phones first, is the one in trouble. We will deal with what ever it is when I get home - and not before.
You do not need the extra stress - and give them simple chores to do when they are home, like putting dinner into the oven (if you can trust them to use the oven). I used to do that with my kids - have it ready in the fridge, a note saying time and temp to put it in, and dinner was ready when I got home!!!!! Loved that!!!
Day 2. Go girl!!! Excellant. I know you are not seeing it that way, but you will. Have a great day 3 - and I love the new name for the blog!!!!!!
i used to start each phone call from my kids with:
is anyone bleeding?
is anyone throwing up?
is anyone unconscious?
are there any broken bones?
and end it with:
then it can wait!
two times there was actual blood (and stitches) ... but there wouldn't have been if they had all been doing what they were SUPPOSED to be doing
